Mission, vision and values
Why the club exists
The text below is based on the association's purpose as recorded in the public register and describes what we strive for as a club.
Mission
To encourage meaningful social connection and the participation of older adults in social, cultural and educational life — so that nobody feels left out simply because of their age.
Vision
A community where older people keep their friendships, stay connected with others and have the chance to enjoy culture, discover new places and learn things that are useful to them.
Values
- Dignity — everyone deserves to be taken seriously, whatever their age or health.
- Respect — we listen to one another and value each other's experience.
- Openness — anyone interested is welcome to come and ask.
- Community — things we do together carry more meaning.
- Accessibility — when planning, we think about people with limited mobility.
- Transparency — we publish information about the association openly and verifiably.
- Responsible stewardship — we handle the association's resources carefully and in line with its statutes.
What this looks like in practice
We try to make events easy to join, to make sure there is always someone to welcome a newcomer, and to make it simple to ask what is coming up. Members' ideas form the basis of the programme.
