About us

Who we are

Senior klub Želeč a Bezděčín z.s. is a voluntary association bringing together people who like to spend their free time actively and in good company. It has been entered in the Czech register of associations since 22 August 2019.

We are not an institution or a social-care provider. We are a community of people who care that nobody has to stay home alone when they don't need to.

Our stated purposes

The public register lists the association's purpose as activities for seniors, in particular:

• health lectures,
• organised trips,
• visits to theatre performances,
• discussions and social gatherings.

These areas describe what the association may focus on. On this website we therefore distinguish between general aims and specific events — we only report on past events when we have verified information about them.

Why meeting up matters

As the years go by, our circle of acquaintances often shrinks — children live elsewhere, colleagues drift apart, some friends are no longer with us. Regular contact with others is known to help keep spirits, memory and the will to move in good shape.

The club aims to offer a place you can come to without much preparation: to chat, dance, go somewhere together or listen to an interesting guest.

History

22 August 2019 — the association is entered in the register of associations kept by the competent regional court.

Further milestones will be added once the association has verified and approved them for publication.

Leadership

The public register lists Ms Věra Lukešová as chairperson. The current composition of the statutory body is always as recorded in the register of associations, which anyone can check.
