Activities and programmes
What we do
Below we describe the areas the club focuses on. Specific dates and venues are always published separately for each event.
Social gatherings and friendship
Coffee get-togethers, dance afternoons, birthday celebrations. The club's photographs show that dancing and conversation are part of who we are. Moments like these are the foundation — friendships start here and continue outside the club.
Discussions and sharing experience
Talking over a topic that interests many: memories of the village, travel, gardening, new technology. Discussions give everyone who wants to speak a chance to do so.
Health lectures
Health lectures are part of the association's registered purpose. Suitable topics include prevention, exercise in later life, nutrition and safety at home. Speakers and dates are always announced with each event.
Culture and theatre
Going to the theatre together is more pleasant for many than going alone — the journey is easier, and afterwards there is someone to talk about the play with.
Trips and excursions
Getting to know the surroundings and places further afield. When planning trips we consider travel time, breaks and how demanding the terrain is.
Active ageing
Movement, games and friendly competition — bowling or dancing, for example. It is not about performance, but about keeping body and mind moving.
Have an idea?
The club's programme mainly grows from members' suggestions. If you would like to go somewhere, invite a guest or try something new, let us know — by phone, email or the contact form.
